Michigan Association of Ambulance Services
Client: Michigan Association of Ambulance Services
Now more than ever, we are relying on those in the healthcare industry to keep us safe. In addition to clinicians and hospital staff, EMS workers are critical to the healthcare delivery system.
The Michigan Association of Ambulance Services is a non-profit association representing pre-hospital care providers in Michigan, specifically those in the medical transportation industry. To address the shortage of medics in Michigan, MAAS launched a recruitment campaign that included a video series.
We had the opportunity to meet Turquoise, a CCEMT skilled in managing critical patients during high-risk transfers. She chose to become a paramedic after witnessing an emergency in public and seeing the expertise of other medics first hand. As Turquoise says, “One of the best things you can do with your life is impact change.” That’s exactly what paramedics do. We cannot thank workers like Turquoise enough for all they do for the greater good.
By sharing her story, Turquoise is inspiring others.
