The Overweg Story

Client: Ele's Place

This National ADDY-winning video is a story of the Overweg family who found comfort and hope at Ele’s Place after the sudden death of their father. Death crosses all religious, cultural and economic boundaries, and we believe that connecting with viewers in a completely authentic and honest way is the best approach to foster the emotional connection with the supporting organization.

Ele's Place is a healing center for grieving children and teens. Each week, peer support group programs help hundreds of children, learn how to cope and begin to heal after the death of a parent, sibling or other loved one.

Our relationship was formed in 1995 at the very beginning of the Ele’s Place story. Since then, we have created countless videos which have helped raise millions of dollars and has shaped the future of Ele’s Place. From the beginning, they have been a focus for our charitable services because their mission touches our hearts so personally.

Their work transforms lives. Children feel less isolated, and their new "normal" feels much more normal. And most magical of all? Services at Ele's Place are free. The organization is completely supported by the generosity of individuals and corporations who know the difference it makes to have this resource in four Michigan cities.
